TTiirty two of Oregon's 36 counties exceeded the state per centage goal attainment and 10 of these counties have exceeded their total annual goal. Included in these 32 counties showing gains is Columbia County and, according to County Chair man R.A. Severson. July sales to taled $76.036. bringing the year to date sales to a total of $426.659 This represents 78 percent of the total sales goal for the year for Columbia County. July sales of S4.237.633 showed a gain of $749.938 over July of 1971, improving the state s position in its drive to again lead the na tion in percentage of goal attain ed. Nationally. Series E Bond sales were $461 million in July, a 27- year record for anv July, and $27 million over July 1971. H Bond sales soared to *31 million, setting a 64-month record and exceeding last July’s sales by $7 million. Re demptions totaled $363 million as compared to total E and H Sav ings Bonds sales of $493 million This is the 22nd consecutive month July E and H Bond sales have exceeded redemptions, the Treas urv reported.
