H ighlight o f the business meet ing w ill be installation o f new officers. More than 50 log truckers, wives and guests from Clatsop, Colum bia and Washington counties are expected to attend the event which w ill begin with a social hour at 7 p.m., followed by a no-host din ner and business meeting. Also, to be discussed is the OLTA convention held in conjunction w ith the Western Regional Log T ru c k ers Expo at the Sheraton Hotel, Portland. August 4-6. Chapter m em bers w ill consider and formulate a position on items of business coming before the association fo r action a t the convention. Included is consideration of a resolution requesting that log tru c kers be perm itted to haul Satur day afternoons and Sunday during the sum m er season. They are now prohibited from hauling on those days between M em orial Day and Labor Day. Appointments are also expected to be made of men to f ill c h a ir manships of eight standing com m ittees: E nvironm ental Q uality and Conservation, Insurance, Safe ty, Governmental A ffa irs, Budget and Finance, A dm inistration, T a r iff Bureau, and Membership Members Services.
