7.3 per cent, according to figures

Remodeling of Hall
Vernonia Grange held its first
meeting in its new location on North
street Saturday night, May 8. Plans
were discussed for a new concrete
foundation under the kitchen and
for remodeling the interior of the
hall. The men will meet at the hall
Saturday, May 15, to work on the
foundation.
A card party will be held at the
hall May 22 at 8 o’clock. Refresh
ments will be pot luck, as usual.
The HEC will meet at the hall on
the afternoon of May 27 and the wo
men will talk over plans for a
Grange float in the Friendship Jam
boree parade and, also, for a fair
booth.
