Circle Date Is Changed
Due To Thanksgiving
The EUB Circle meeting will
be postponed one week this month
from the scheduled third Wednes
day to the fourth Wednesday, No
vember 28 to avoid conflict with
Thanksgiving. The meeting will
be held at the church at 1:00 p.m.
Mrs. Ernest East and Mrs. Linnie
Scott will be hostesses and Mrs.
H. A. DeWitt will conduct the de
votions.
One of the things being consid
ered by circle members is the need
of small book cases in Sunday
school class rooms. It is thought
possible that someone might have
such cases they no longer use
which they would like to give to
the church for this use or that
someone might like to make some
for that purpose. If so, they may
contact Mrs. A. W. Gardner, circle
president.

Don’t put too much confidence
in the fellow who boasts he is
level-headed—wait until you find
out at what level he leveled off.
I want to express my appreciation to the people of Colum
bia County for your support even though I came out only
second best.
I was working hard when sudden circumstances developed
to cut my chances of winning, percentage wise, practically to
the impossible. With only a mere chance left. I worked hard
for this chance. I worked hard and clean on honest issues and
for the representation of good government. I enjoyed talking
to many of you people and I only wish I could have talked
to all of you.
I believe in this American system of ours. I believe in
this two party system of ours. We are a competitive nation
of competitive people and both of these great party's exis
tence must be perpetuated. One would be useless without
the other.
I thank all of you.
