Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kamholz and sons Greg and Ed went to Goldendale Washington last week end to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Kamholz. The boys stayed on this week with their grandparents. Lee Harman went with her and will attend high school there again this win ter. This will be his senior year. Last year he established a very good record there in track events. Mrs. Claude Woodworth of Seattle stopped to see Mrs. Ma thilde Bergerson Tuesday morn ing. The two ladies had been high school friends in Carlton, Oregon and this was only their second visit since that time. Mrs. Mable Graves and Mrs. Mathilde Bergerson drove to Gold Beach Tuesday of last week for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Morris Graves and returned home Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bergerson and family left last Wednesday for Wenatchee, Washington to visit his aunt. Mrs. Lois Hughes and from there were to go to Tacoma to visit his brother Clif- foid Bergerson and family. Guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hearing Sr. were her nephew and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Haskell and baby from Portland. Guy Thomas and Wilbur Wil son were in Seattle from Wed nesday through Friday of last week to attend a joint meeting of the finance divisions of the Am erican Public Power association and the Northwest Public Power association. News has just been received here that Mrs C. E. Pierson is in Emanuel hospital with a broken foot which was incurred when she stepped on a loose board. The Piersons have been spending much of their time in Portland with their daughter and husband who are building a house and the accident happened there. Mrs. Ella Spencer arrived here Sunday from Oakdale, California for a visit with her sister, Mrs. Nels Hogberg and brother, Frank Lentz and their families. Mon day, Raymond Lentz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lentz arrived here from Alaska where he has been fishing this summer and will visit until Friday with his parents and aunts and uncle be fore going on to his home at Na- pa, California. Davis moved last week end to the Sweet Home area. This was the first time the Krinicks had seen their great-granddaugh ter who is just three and a half months old Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Kamholz visited Mrs. Harry Ford at St. Vincents hospital Tuesday even ing and found her making steady progress toward recovery from accident injuries. She expects to be on crutches soon Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Caron and family enjoyed a vacation trip into Canada during last week end. They left here Friday and drove up around Puget Sound. They spent part of Saturday at Decep tion Pass, then went on to Mt. Vernon to visit her father. He and his family went with them into Canada where some time was spent at the Harrison Hot Springs and a day was spent in Vancouver B.C. On the way home they crossed on the Keystone ferry to Port Townsend and came from there to Longview to visit her mother before returning home.
