Dr. Harold M Erickson, state health officer, pointed out that Oregon school authorities ask par ents for records of such medical and dental examinations at the time children first register for school. Dr. Erickson also pointed out that many school districts re quire copies of birth certificates for all new admissions. This is true of Vernonia. These copies may be obtained by writing or visiting the state board of health, room 979, 1400 S.W. Fifth Ave., Portland 1. One dollar should accompany the request for each copy. Information should include the full name of the child and th? parents, and the date and place of birth, to enable state board of health staff members to search the records. These should be ap plied for at once to avoid a last | minute rush and delay in receiv- | ing the certificates. Hearing Friday For Game Rules The second public hearing on the 1955 hunting regulations wdl be held at 10 a m. Friday, July 22 at the game commission’s Port land office at 1634 S.W Alder. Any changes in the tentative regulations proposed by the com mission following its July 8 meet ing will be discussed and the final rules adopted at this hearing.
