Future Teachers Organize Here I i i George Clark Family Returns To Home Here RIVERVIEW — Mr and Mrs. George Clark have moved into their house at the end of 8th St. after being elsewhere for some time. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Hamil ton and girls visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gabs Potter at Top hill Sunday. The Potters lived in Riverview for some time and their friends will be glad to hear that Mrs. Potter is feeling quite well. Mrs. Jewell Lloyd, Mrs. E. L. Lloyd and Mrs. Jack Tomlin visi ted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Poole at Seaside Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Asa Callister and son Don of Logsden spent the week end at the home of their son and brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Callister. Mr. and Mrs. R. A Peterson spent Monday in Portland on business. Mr and Mrs. Tom Magoff spent Saturday in Portland on busi ness, returning by way of Bea verton where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sullivan. Mrs. W. This was a day for unusual hands and low scores. High score went to Betty Hawken who played in place of Margaret Van- derzanden who was unable to at tend. Marie Sauer, Cora Lange and Marjorie DeHart had to cut for low, all three having 2100 This is the fourth week that the hostess has held high score and the prize was given to the second highest. In last weeks play, Julia Davis, Audrey Johnson and Marjorie DeHart each held 1500 trump. The next meeting will be a Valentine party at the home of Marjorie DeHart. THURSDAY. Miss Erma Madeline Fischer, daughter of Mr Elmer Fischer of Port Huron. Michigan, became the bride of S/Sgt. Grant Edward McCabe, son of Mr. Francis Patrick Mc Cabe Sr of Portland. The double ring ceremony was read in a set ting of white stock and pink and white carnations with maidenhair fern. The bride, given in marriage by her father who came from Michigan for the ceremony, wore a pale lavendar afternoon dress with white hat and a corsage of purple orchids Her matron of honor was Mrs Kenneth Ander son, sister of the groom who wore a navy blue suit with light blue hat Best man was Kenneth An derson and ushers were Robert C. Curl and Patrick McCabe. Following the ceremony a re ception was held in the parish hall. The newlyweds will live in Portland while S/Sgt McCabe is stationed at the Portland A.r Base. Included in out of town guests were Mr and Mrs. John Molnar of Port Huron, Michigan, aunt and uncle of the groom. A delegation from the local I.O.OF lodge went to Astoria last Thursday night, February 3, to visit the lodge there and were joined there by a delegation of 10 from Tillamook headed by Calvin Davis. Tuesday evening, four mem bers of the Astoria lodge includ ing District President Al Bran denberg, returned the visit here and plans were made for delega tions from Vernonia and Astoria to visit Tillamook February 22.
