Keasey Postmistress In Portland Hospital ROCK CREEK — Gene Ship man has been pinch hitting at the Keasey Post Office while Mrs. Vern Dusenberry was in Port land at the Physicians and Sur geons Hospital for an operation. She is expected home Tuesday. Her mother, Mrs. M. Baker, is going to take care of her for a while. Kea.vy Extension Unit met at Necia DeWitt's last Wednes day. Visitors at the Ted DeWitts last Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Repplinger, Jack Evers, the I Pythian Sisters Seat Secretary Vernonia Temple No. 61, Py thian Sisters met last Wednesday evening for a regular meeting with all the officers in their chairs except past chief, June Willis who had been ill. Dons Garner was installed as secretary to fill out the year by installing officer Edith McFar land assistd by Isabel Culbertson and Marie Laschinger. A card of thanks was received from Edna Heenan for the cup and saucer given her as a fare well gift when she moved to Clatskanie. Informal reports were given on Grand Temple proce“dings by Faye Davis, and Mary Sawyer. A complete report will be given at the next meeting by the grand representative, Faye Davis. After adjournment, delicious refreshments were served by Er ma Johnson and Pearl Adams at tables decorated with hallowe’m motifs. Pastor I ■ ’ | , The First Christian Church is annoucing a special personal evangelism campaign beginning October 31st and continuing to November 14th, under the very capable leadership of Evangelist Dallas Meserve, Minister of the Parkrose Christian Church and cne of the splendid young lead ers of the Christian Churches of Oregon. The first week from the 31st of October to the 7th of Novem ber, will be a week of visitation under the direction of the evan gelist. This will be follow.! by a week of preaching by the evan gelist each evening at 7:30 from th“ 7th to the 14th of November. Through the week of preaching services Evangelist Meserve will lead the singing. The public is most cordially invited to every service.
