J. M. Peachey Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. G1 nn Mitt he 1 spent the week end visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John McCoy in Portland. -Mr. and Mrs. Tom Taylor and baby of Fort Bragg, California are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Taylor, for the holi days. ZHZHZHZMZM H Alfred Bays of Clatskanie spent the week end visiting at the home of Mrs. Ethel Hall and son. Tommy. Mrs. Helen Rand of St. Helens spent Sunday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Welter. Mrs. G. P. Potter spent the week end at her home, return ing to the home of h r daughter, Mrs. Ed Walters at North Plains, Sunday evening. BIRKENFELD—Newly elected officers of Winema Grange went to Natal Wednesday evening for installation services. It was a joint installation with Natal Grange as host and guest granges were Winema and Vernonia. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Roy of Port- land were present. Mr. Roy, master of the Russellville grange, had charge of the installation, as sisted by a team from Warren Granee Id by county Deputy I Arnold Tarbell. M-rUTMTMTWIM?J Lawrence Johnston is traveling on crutches now. He cut his foot while chopping wood recently. The sewing club met with Bev erly J pson Tuesday evening and Pat Larson was honored with a baby shower. There were 10 members present. Next meeting wi'l be with Ir.ne Jones. Francis Larson and Tom John ston are improving slowly. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thomp son and children spent the first Bracelet of the la t week her? visiting relatives ar.d friends. Th 'y were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bellingham last Tuesday. Don Jensen, Carl Anderson, G. W. Parman and Ted Belling ham mad a business trip to California last week. On th? sick list this week are. Martha Rosenberg. Roy Bennett and Anna Sears. Mrs. Rosenberg is very ill, suffering from a heart condition.
