week for a ten-day visit with rei-
atives in San Diego at the close
of which they will head for Riv
erview to spend the holidays.
We will have to blame the in
clement weather for our tardi
ness in reporting the arrival of
two new families in Riverview
recently. On the Chester Rice
place we now have Mr. and Mrs.
J. T. Brady who came from the
Corey Hill district last week.
They have with them their son,
Lynn, who is adjusting himself
to civilian life and their daugh
ter, Shirley Ann, who is an em
ployee at Safeway in Vernonia.
And in the Ralph Cobat place,
recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs.
Lester Fletcher, whose depar
ture we failed to note, we have
Mr. and Mrs. John Coleman and
daughter, Elsie Ann, who came
from Portland about three weeks
ago. A hearty welcome to all
these new neighbors. The Cole
mans will leave the middle of
the week for Libby, Mont, where
they will spend Christmas with
relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Monty Dewey
helped Mrs. Anna Dewey and
her son, Bill Dewey, move from
Vernonia to St. Helens Sun. Bill
has located a good job at our
county seat.
