McGee. The Forum To the editor of the IVernonia Eagle: I, myself, am with Pvt. George N. Hult 100 per cent on keeping Columbia county wet. As for myself, I do not drink, but as others like a drink once in awhile why not let them have it. Our boys are gone to give their all for a bit of freedom. Now, why not let ithem that return home have the comfort of a drink? I say there are just a few too many who wish to interfere with the business of others. I, myself, would rather see the saloons like they were some 50 years ago. You never saw a teen- age drunk on the street or any other place. A man or boy went in, gc>t himself a drink and went out again. It seems to me the more some interfere, the worse they make matters. And, if the county is dry, wont bootleggers rprout up over night and every body will sneak around and buy, Classified Ads Business Directory NOTICE To property owners to cut grass in compliance with city ordinance whereby land owners are required to cut grass on their property and on half of street and alleys adjoining said prop erty.
