Club Needs More Addresses Interest in the Vernonia Ser vice club is growing as was shown by the number of new members present at last week’s meeting. Several ladies had their first instructions in the art of knitting and others pasted cross word puzzles on card board to be sent to the various hospitals. Still other ladies cut out pictures, jokes etc. suitable for scrap books. The club members have voted to follow suggestions of the Red Cros3 leaders in their projects. The projects consuming their at tention at present are: knitting of knee bands, yarn to be furn ished by the Red Cross; knitting of Afghans of any yarn avail able, donated or purchased by the service club; the pasting of cross word puzzles on card board and the making of scrap books. The next meeting of the club will be December 23rd (Thurs day), 2 o'clock, at the Legion hall.
