Condit, became the bride of Kyle E- Clark last Sun day afternoon, December 28, at a candlelight ceremony read by Rev erend Nelson at the Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Sam .s in Portland. The bride, wearing a costume dress of blue crepe, carried a white Bible. Her corsage was of yellow yeses. Miss Mary Eaton of Portland nno Dale Clark, brother of the grco.m, were the attendants. Legion Auxiliary to Meet January 5— The next meeting of the Amer ican Legion Auxiliary is to be held Monday. January Sth and it ./ill he, the first for the new year. Each member present for the evening will answer roll call bv recounting a current news item of interest. Pace-Lovett Rites Performed Saturday— ents, Miss Jane Lovett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Lovett of Port land, became the bride of Wesley K. Pace, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry M. Pace, also of Portland. Rever end E. R. Martin officiated. The bride’s dress was of white marquisette with sequined bodice; her veil of finger-tip length was caught with clusters of orange- blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses, bouvardia and stephanottis. Miss Lois Parkinson of Portland, honor attendant, wore a dress of deep green taffeta. The brides maids, Miss Betty Lovett, sister of the bride, and Miss Doris Mae Pace, sister of the groom, were dressed in similar dresses of light green taffeta. Terry M. Pace, Jr., was his brother’s attendant. Mrs. Marvin Kamhclz played the wedding march. A reception was held immediately after the ceremony at the Lovett home. The bride is an instructor in the Washington school here; Mr. Pace, formerly employed in the main of- f’ce of the Oregon-American Lum ber corporation, is in service at Fort Lewis. Dave Currons of Manning was a Christmas Eve and Day guest of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fisher. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vacca and children left Wednesday to spend Christmas with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Davis, of Coquille, returning home Saturday. Willard Pratt of Battle Ground, Washington, spent a few days with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fisher. Bill Mizner and Billy of Buxton visited at the Bob Rebitzke home Saturday. At Home Charles Herzig, timekeeper for camp, is spending the holidays at his home in Portland. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Luxton drove to Edmond, Washington, to spend the holidays at their home there. They will return sometime this week. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Peterson and son, Robert, spent Christmas Eve at the Ed Brandel home in Tigard and on Christmas Day were dinner guests of Mrs. Peterson’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jeffers, and father, Jacob Girshberger, of Sherwood. Fred Young returned to Corvallis after spending the Christmas holi days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Young. Fred is attending Ore gon State College. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Rebitzke were Christmas Day guests of the latter’s mother and brother, Mrs. Anna Godfred and Delbert, of Hills boro. Saturday visitors at the Earl Fish er home were Charles Pratt and children of Buxton, Will Pratt and Wizard Pratt of Battle Ground, Washington. LaVerne Brandel of Tigard is spending a few days with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Peter son. Overnight Gueits Mrs. Lloyd Fast and children of Buxton were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vacca Tuesday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Rebitzke spent from Saturday until Monday at the home of Mrs. Pauline Renitz- ke, the former’s mother. Slides at Nehalem Falls, near Wakefield tied up traffic on the S. P. several hours, delaying local freight from Wheeler last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Elliott en tertained with a Christmas dinner for the following persons: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Elliott and Richard, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gnuschke and Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Wilson of Red mond. Mr. and Mrs. Al Striebel left Friday for Toppenish, Washington, where they will visit friends and relatives for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Riggle and Meiva Shefflin and Mrs. Edith Riggle of Buxton were dinner guests Friday night at the Berleigh Tallman home. Mrs. Laura Gilmore visited last Friday until Sunday in Portland with Dr. Sadie Wolff and Mrs. Myrtle Brown. A large crowd attended the Christmas program at the school last Tuesday evening. Ronald spent Friday evening at the Ijome of his mother, Ida Kilburg, before returning Saturday to Se attle, Washington, with their house hold goods. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bacon, Wan da, Dale and Kenneth, spent the Christmas holidays at Toppenish, Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Burris left last Sunday for Los Angeles where they spent the Christmas holidays. Mrs. Laura Gilmore went to Se attle, Washington, last Tuesday morning where she visited her sons, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gilmore and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gilmore and Claudette and Shirley Mae. Thursday evening at 6:30 the men of the Brotherhoods of the Chris tian church and the Assembly of God will be guests of the Brother hood of the Evangelical church at a di I er.
