FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER HERE IS A
SUGGESTED MEANS OF PREPARING THE
BIRD TO THOROUGHLY ENJOY IT
ROAST TURKEY
Wash bird thoroughly. Then rub skin with soften
ed butter and dredge with flour. Stuff with any
desired dressing and skewer, sewing up the open
ings. Place in a hot oven at first, leaving the pan
uncovered until the bird is slightly browned.
When this is done, cover the pan, lower the heat
and baste occasionally with melted butter and hot
water. Turn turkey at least twice during roasting
so that it will be evenly browned.
