FIREMEN EAT CLAMS--
Members of the Vernonia fire
department met Tuesday evening
at the Earl Smith home here to
enjoy a butter clam "feed,” plans
for which were formulated some
time back. The clams were ordered
through a local dealer and “fed up”
for the occasion.
The meeting was of a social nat­
ure, no business being transacted
during the evening.

for the year and urged the com­
pletion of all projects before con­
vention time in August. Various
phases of the national program
were explained and the four-poin:

bill was outlined. Mrs. Hamlin
