FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21, 1934 VERNONIA EAGLE, VERNONIA, OREGON PAGE TWO I SOCIETY NEWS - CLUBS ■ FRATERNAL | REBEKAHS, ODD FELLOWS GIVE CHRISTMAS PARTY A number of Rebekahs and Odd Fellows gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Kilby Monday evening for a social meeting and Christmas party. Many unusual games were played and a mock radio program was given with members present sup posedly taking leading roles caus ing much merriment among the other listeners. Also a surprise package containing prizes, for tunes, etc., was opened by each member. The guessing contest prizes were won by Arvada Lines and Ira Peterson. At a late hour a bountiful lunch was served to the follow ing: Viola Treharne, Ruby Biggs, Florence McDonald, Mrs. Spof ford, Grace Miner, Ella O’Con ner, Bessie Herrin, Grace Sunell, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spencer, Arvada Lines, Ira Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Lines, Calvin Plummer, Lena Stanton, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Salomonsen, Selma Webb and Beulah Baslingtcn, be sides the host and hostess. After the lunch Christmas presents were exchanged. Assist ing the hostess during the even ing were Margaret Lines and Grace Sunell. A successful and enjoyable dance sponsored by Nehalem as sembly, Order of Rainbow, was given in the Odd Fellows hall last Friday night, Stella’s band of Forest Grove furnishing the mu sic. An exchange of gifts was en- joyed, and the evening’s festivi ties concluded with the singing of Christmas carols as the guests were gathered around the Christ mas tree.
