FRIDAY, JULY 7, 1933. VERNONIA EAGLE, VERNONIA, OREGON PAGE TWO at the school houses with the lo cal congregations at the regular meeting time, and everyone is in vited to attend. The meetings will be in the entire charge of the Gideons, and they have their own program of singing and speaking. The Gideons have the special and peculiar task of placing Bibles in the guest rooms of the hotels, and as such have placed more than 1,100,000 Bibles in the hotels of our country and abroad. This na tionally known organization is comprised of Christian commercial travelers and Christian business men, who freely donate their time to this work, and hold church ser vices everywhere to tell their story. The Gideon services are usually noted for the great interest they awaken among the people in work of this nature, and are much sought after by the pastors of all nenominations. The committee of trustees of Shiloh Basin, Downing and Birkenfeld considers it a great privilege that these business men will spend their Sunday with us in this way, and we cordially invite all of our friends to at- tend.
