* VERNONIA, OREGON, FRIDAY MARCH 13, 1923 Volume 3, Number 31 MOUTHPIECE of the NEHALEM VALLEY ---------COLUMBIA COUNTY--------- Interesting American Mist News H. S. Doings Personals Legion There • HAIR, WHERE THE HAIR I OUGHT TO GROW It is very seldom that a news paper will comment in any stage of optomism over a product or business to the extent of "free publicity.” Circumstances have, at times, swayed the decision from strict ethics, and this week we feel we are justified in mentioning as a news item, the fact that a Vernonia man seems on the verge of putting “Vernonia” before the eyes of the World. Now you have read of all kinds of ‘‘Hair Restorers;’’ you have seen pictures of bald heads “before and after taking,” but at last through countless ages of attempts, trials and only partial success, it now seems that Mr. Soden, of Vernonia, can stand on the top step and shout “Eureka.” After thorough experi ments, the remedy and treatment will and does actually grow hair on bald heads. We know it; we have seen it proven, and Vernonia peo ple, once bald, can truthfully testify to the merits and the guaranteed re sults. Mr. Soden has refused to sell a bottle of the mixture at any price. He guards it better than he does his pocket book. His first satisfaction will be the knowledge of all people that he gets the results sure and ab solute and that his is the only sure hair grower known to him. No bald head too bald. Seeing is believing and there are people who have seen. Mr. Soden says: “No hair, no mon ey, and the hair first." But he is not yet ready to put the article on the market. If some enterprising Vernonia man will now invent a pro cess to grow teeth, we will doll up for the Rose Festival. --------- • The last meeting of the Americar Legion was called to order by Com mander Carkin about eight-thirty Monday night.
