NOTICE OF SCHOOL MEETING ♦ Original NOT1CI 19 HIRKBY GIVKN to th* l«gal voters of School District No. 4‘' o. White and a splendid selection of citi.cns compose the ’ People’s Tick et" lor Vernonia. It makes little dif ference v-hether we personally like the man or not, we are voting for the city's welfare. Wc know Mr. White doesn’t parade and talk much, is no soapbox orator, or a kicker, but we know he is a booster and ha, property he wants to build on and improve. He wants to see a good, thriving city and is working hard for it. He is a man that can meet big men, and devote, his time and expense in inducing new industries and new capi tal to locate. He has made .nany personal trips to St. Helens and Port land without even speaking of it in trying to hasten - railroad work, the Rose Avenue improvement, the Beaver Logging Co. road, the charter correcting, the water system, the lighting question and numerous im- ptf'ements he knew the city needed ‘•peed on. It would be poor policy to the town growing, finish im provements started and keep going ahead. For the city in its present stage of development and for the good of th» business man, home owner and those having property they would sell at a fair price—for needed improvement, and for the good of all, we believe it wise to vote the It looks very favorable for the election of Wm. Pringle for County Commissioner. Mr. Prim is the man we want and onr neighboring towns are kind en ough to agree with us. Thia Nehalem Valley is entitled to this representation and we will return the compliment on more than one occasion. W. Pringle has every qualification for Com missioner and will shoot straight for every part of Columbia Cou nty.
