Attet the exercises at the table a general good time and social was held, in the gymnasium. A Basket . Ball' game, between 'the' Scrubs nnd the Dnbs resulting in a decisive victory for the winners- , . The occasion was pronounced a most enjoyable one by alt. Rev. Jope has worked hard to organ ize this young mens society and' much credit is due him for tho iplcndld work he has done. Those of our business men who were present at the' banquet were much impressed witi the endeav or which Rev. Jope has made to sur round the boys with every ihdu:ement to evade questionable anfuso'nisnts. THE W. I. C. FAIR. The W. R. C. Fair and Vaudeville held ,in the Skating Rink -Thursday aad Friday evenings was clearly' the beat thing of the winter; the street parade; was as good as a circus parade, Leaded by Chief of Police Myers and our just ly famed City Band, it represented all the varied industries and businesses, of our city together with many funny specialties, and showed much care and' work. The Rink was a scene of joy and beauty. The Indian Camp, with war. dances and) native music, the fife and drum band, the "German Village", the Candy Booths, the Gypsy and Fortune Telling Booths, the side show of Freaks, the "hot weenie" and eating booths, the fish pond, Foolish .Liz; the 1 eauti- fully realistic Tom Thumb wedding, the thrilling Slide for Life by a three year old child on. a rope stretched from the the top of the hall, the Kangaroo Court nd lady police, the Negro Min- strrl Troufe with songs and dances, the O'Donnell Family in old plantation melodies and others too numerons .to mention all made a grand 'success of the Fair and showed much painstaking i care on the part of the ladies of the W. R. C. ably assisted by many of the gentlemen, all of.whom are entitled to much credit. The program was chang ed each night.
