The moth usually hovers about the
candle until it gets singed. R. E.
Miller of Garibaldi was picked up and
arraigned before the Justice of the
peace on a charge of possession of
liquor He plead not guilty, and a
trial resulted in his conviction.
While his attorneys were perfect
ing an appeal, Miller changed his
mind and plead guilty. He was fined
$150 and the costs of the trial. He
was paroled on agreement to pay $25
per month until the score was wiped
out, but defaulted after the first pay
ment, and faded aw’ay like the fog
before a sunburst. Last summer he
was again picked up for violation of
the terms of his parole. He was giv
en more time to fulfill his obligations,
but again vanished into the night.
Again he was ordered into custody.
While a deputy sheriff was waiting
for him to appear from a bedroom,
whither he went to change his clothes,

Hupmobile Open Models Can Give You
Real Closed-Car Comfort
Here, at last, is an open car with storm
curtain equipment that can quickly
transform it into a snug, trim and
thoroughly protected closed car.

feature of the new series Hupmobile
touring car and roadster is one of the

By the application of an original principle
of design these curtains not only assure
the owner the comfort of closed car pro

they guarantee him at all times a clear
vision and a trimness that hitherto it
has not been possible to secure.
These curtains do far more than open with
the doors. The secret of their comfort
