This show the Airway lightht
at Tatsfield, England, which guides
Croydon-Paris airplanes across the Channel at night. This lighthouse
throws a beam of ight to reach Lympne in Kent, and is only visited twice
a year. The lights arc supplied with gas from the cylinders below. There
is a patent device on the top which automatically lights the lamps when the
sun goes down. The lights are so arranged that when the sun comes up
again the lights automatically are switched off and are lighted in the same
manner on dull or cloudy days.
