Reports began coming In over the Headlight’s leased wire as early as seven o’clock but they were most ly from eastern states and returns from Oregon precincts did not start coming over the wire until about 9 o’clock. The Headlight had plan < ned an extra to be on the streets about 8, but the slowness of the re turns prevented this. The first edition appeared about 11 o’clock, followed at 6 o'clock Wednesday morning bj» another, giving com plete returns up to that time. The Headlight election extras beat all other papers with the news to Tilla mook by at least eight hours, and conveyed a service to Tillamook people that seemed to be apprecia ted. * ’Wf 1SB In the last edition the Headlight predicted a majority of 36.000 votes for Pierce and as the count pro gresses it appears that this may be pre- substantiated, It was also dieted that the school bill would alto pass by 18,000. which X may occur. Bulletins from the HeadHght leased wire were furnished to sev eral pines in the city Tuesday night. ------------- —,,-u 1()22 Service Counts on y oar Winter Journey ti i111111iiI i > ■ LUDEN’S MENTHOL COUGH DROPS for nose and throat Observation Cars with comfortable clu u-. down and broad rear platforms; Through sleepir-- Cars with latest tarvel luxuries; Unexcelled Car cuisine, and picturesque scenery will ..,¡¡1 to(11. pleasure of your journey.
