Batzner went to call him for break­
fast, it was discovered that some­
time during the night, the grim
reaper had visited him and life on
earth had ceased. Mr. Batzner had
returned at the usual time the even­
ing before in his usual health and

He was born in Indiana
85 years ago in Franklin county,

father of six children four of whom
are still living, one daughter liying
in Kansas and another in Missouri,

Brad Batzner live here. A son was
accidentally killed in Misouri about
a year ago, and the other died in
1897.
Grandpa Batzner was an ardent
sportsman and successful fisherman.
