home in Corvallis Saturday. He was
here to deliver the address at the
Commcncment excercises at the
Christian churcli Friday evening,
and said that he enjoyed the trip
very much, this being the first time
he had ever been in Tillamook, al
though he had lived in Oregon for
thirty-one years. He said that he had
been given the trip to Tillamook as
a reward for his campaigning for the
millage question at the primaries,
and he also said that on the 12th of
June, the day after the graduating
excercises at the O. A. C., the ground
was to be broken in prepartion for
the addition to the Home Economics
building. A large number of the
students are to stay on the grounds
this summer and work on the build
ings, thus solving the question of
labor shortage. The excercises here
in Tillamook made the twentieth
that he has already attended this
year, and he says that all the classes
have been large, and in the rural
schools there have been classes pav
ing all the way from six to a dozen
or more members, and that almost
all of them are planning on going to
