Cold Weather Warning to Motorists
“With cold weather again upon us
it is ncccssaty to warn motorists
about their engine oil," said Mr.
Boone of the Standard Oil Company,
recently.
“An oil that gives satisfaction dur
ing the heat of summer will not
necessarily give the same satisfaction
when the temperature is ten degrees
above zero. A poor cold test oil will
not splash properly or flow freely in
cold weather, but it congegals or
thickens excessively. Then it becomes
necessary to run the engine without
sufficient lubrication for a time in
older to warm up the oil so it will
flow freely. Of course, this period of
running the engine without oil on
th. cylinder walls and other bearing
surfaces makes for excessive wear
and sometimes
seriously damages
these engine parts.
Zeroline Medium (Zeroline Light
for Fords) is a high quality lubricat
ing oil having a Zero Cold Test. That
is. it Will flow freely and splash
properly In any temperature down to
iero. It is correctly refined from
selected California crude
oil and
fives correct lubrication In winter
to all engine parts- front the very
first turn of the engine.
