Owing to some factories receiving considerable new milk, while others were getting mostly winter milk, there is a great difference in prices paid, owing to the tests and yield. Thus the Central factory will be the only one below 50 cents for but ter fat, cheese being made only every third day. Fairview yield waa the highest, running 11 pounds with mostly fresh cows milk. Factories paying the highest prices per 100 pounds of inilk were, Fairview. $2.06 9-10; Maple Leaf, $2.05; Tillamook Creamery and Clo ver Leaf Creamery, each $2.04. As a rule the lower testing milk made as much cheese as the higher testing milk, as cheese was -made oftener from the lowertesting or fresh milk. February Butterfat Prices in California. Prices that were paid for butter fat by creameries throught Cali fornia during the month of Febru ary having been extremely favor able to the producers. Not in many years has the month passed with such a high average. The Review has received reports showing that 40 cents has not been unusual.
