There was mueb commotion in tbe
back room, and as there were a num
ber of coffins being loaded Into a wag
on outside they put Mullaney in a cof
fin and loaded him on tbe wagon.
Then they drove him down tbe street a
couple of blocks, and Mullaney climb
ed out. He strolled back up to where
the sergeant was doggedly watching
the door and saluted.
“Hello, rounds!
Pleasant evening.
