E. D. H oag , Supt. A Wretched Mistake Fever Korea. Total disbursements Balance on hand $1,414.07 The Association inspected the cheese produced in 12 factories the past sea son, and one tenth of a cent per lb. cheese manufactured during the months of March to and including July wax charged the several factory organiza tions for the services. The total amount of cheese inspected was near ly 2,750,000 lbs and would make a trifle more than one twentieth of a cent for the cheese produced at each of said factories for the year’ There can be no question but what the inspecting of Tillamook cheese helped to raise the quality of the cheese pro duced in this county. Formerly a nnm- ber of the rheesemakers would work in their poorfstock with the better grade of cheese and not until the cheese reached the market would the same be detected as a rule. Two or three other factories not now in the association have spoken to the writer and wish to have their cheese inspected if it is possible to have it done. From reports at present the association will have mare cheese to inspect the coining year ths i the last o-,e. It would certainly be taking a step backward to discontinue the in spection altogether.
