TILLAMOOK HEADLIGHT, DECEMBER 30, OUR NEW* STORE TILLAMOOK WINS [CASES. Three Suita Result in Decisions Favorable to County. SALEM, Or., Dec 28. -Three suits brought respectively by the Neha lem Packing Company, the Elmore Packing Company and Sam Elmore against Tillamook County, were all decided by the Supreme Court to I day in favore of the county. In these actions the packing com panies sought to secure a reduc tion of their assessments, but writs of review, issued by the County j Court were quoshed by the Circuit Court. The Supreme Court holds that property may be assessed to the person in whose possession it is found at the time the Assessor made the levy, even though the property may be owned by others.
