Freeman’s place are causing considerable trouble on account of bloating, and a large number had to be operated upon and three of the cows died. Owing to the costumes failing to get here by express on Tuesday, the theatri cal performance at the Academy has been postponed until Thursday evening of next week. Mrs. Margarett J. Durfee, widow of the late B. F. Durfee, and her daughter, Mrs. George Warlick, of Chicago, III., came in last |week to look after their property interests. Adolf N. • Nordstrom, the murderer of John Peterson, has hut a few hours to live, for he will meet his doom by being executed on the gallows at the State penitentiary to-morrow (Friday), for this is the date set by Judge Galloway for his execution. Rev. Dr. Rowland, of Salem, will hold the third quarterly meeting in the M.E. church next Sunday at 11 a.m., and the quarterly conference Saturday evening. Turner at that popular hostlery.
