well himwelf. the city would have had a
much teller administration during his
brief tenure of office ami a genuine re­
form, long overdu?, would have teen in­
augurated. We have no disposition to
be revere in our criticism, but it appears
to us that His Honor is the wrong per­
son to talk about reform. The disgrace­
ful affair in the post office showed that
the Mayor was sadly in need of a lulle
