I TILLAMOOK HEADLIGHT, JUNE HOBSONVILLE Frank Mother and Dick Myers, who have been employed in the mill here for several months past, left Monday for Nehalem, where they expect to work iu the logging camp. John Hobson made a flying trip to Garibaldi, Tuesday with Captain Peter son and his nobby little launch. Mr. Sharp, the Miami Lumber Com pany’s book keeper, returned on the Elmore from Portland, where he had been on a business trip for the company. Mrs Frank Hobson returned to her beautiful home near Garibaldi, Monday, from Tillamook, where she had been several days tinder the doctor's care. Captain Farley and crew, of the U. S. Life Saving Station, were ut this place Tuesday with one of their new boats, Lee Ackley was a guest of the Schlappi’s at the Miami hotel, one day last week. Mrs. John Paquet, of Garibaldi, has been under the weather for several days. Mr. A. Boe returned on the last Eltnore from Seattle, where he had been on a pleasure trip for several days. Mrs. Joe Warren, of this place, was a Tillamook shopper last week. I à' 1 t >• SANDLAKE The Sandiakrrs think this is fine weather for ducks, but very poor fur I gardens. H. II. Hayes, of Sunnyside, purchased two flne colts of Frank Dye this week, Arthur Hays and brother Lloyd are on the lake this week visiting with old friends. Arthur reported seeing a fleet Monday morning with the Della in the lead. Wonder what nition we are in war with now. Miss Lillie Webb has had a very severe attack of the lagrippe this week, but is improving very fast at this writ. Ing, and we all hope to see her smiling face on the streets of Sandlake in the near future. The entertainment Friday evening was a very quiet affair owing to so many being laid up with the lagrippe. “Miss Mabie Dimond went to Woods Monday to work for Mrs Collis. If Governor Chamberlain runs as well ail over the state as he did in Sandlake his pardoning power will soon cometo a close. He must be a statement No. two man for that is what he got. Some of the young ladies on SamJlake are getting anxious to start up house keeping, as I heard one propose to a young gentleman the other night. 1 Badly Sprained Ankle Cured.
