Just think of the ihousandt of heifer« and bull calves we are killing every year to get rid of them They could be profitably raised, if belter blood was infused in our dairj herds. We raise scrub heifers, worth 25 dollars at two year old, when butter fat average« over 30c. per pound. Pure breeds will bring from $75 to $100 and an unlimited demand. In conclusion will state, let those who favor th» Holstein« follow in that line and help this organization by giving it their support. It is not much th** p-ii'iicular breed to gain success in this matter, there are good performers aiuonget all the prominent dairy breed«.
