To secure conviction under the crim,
inal feature of the oleomargarine law, it
must be proven that the color which

be plainly apparent that such coloring
matter has beer, introduced, it would, in
most cases, be exceedingly difficult to
prove and this difficulty should be re­
lieved by the amendment of the statute.
In many other respects also the law
needs amending and circulars have been
sent out from the various state depart­
ments of agriculture asking all interest­
ed to pledge their candidates for con­
gress to work for the neeeded changes.
Farm associations, dairymen and all
persons engaged in making and selling
butter should make a point of looking
into this matter and calling attention of
candidates for Congresss to the situation.
