Vol. XVII TILLAMOOK, OREGON, f The Maiden and the Man" Said the Maiden to the Man, 111 disclose to you a plan How to win my hand and heart:— Just shake those clothes—they’re shame Get the kind that’s made by ‘Lamms’ And as one we’ll then depart." R. M. Watson has started another newspaper. This time at Seaside, which is called the Seaside Singal It is the same size as the defunct Independent, only that it has a patent inside and the subscription price is $1.50 Seaside has a Sentinel and a Signal, add, no doubt, the former is wondeiing why the latter butted into a field where there is hardly room enough for one. Every man who seeks to clothe himself with the satisfactory kind of made-to-measure apparel should follow the maiden’s injunction. 1 The “LAMM” kind from “Start to Finish” makes good its label “THE BEST ON EARTH” That means material, trimming, workmanship and fit; and they’re made strictly for you -not for the other fellow. They’re money saving clothes because of their lasting qualities. Never get out of shape and always have a smart and natty appearance. Prices are right, too. “Seeing is believing’’ and if you haven’t ordered your Spring attire yet, put us to the test by calling at > “THE BEST ON EARTH” CLOTHES SHOP You'll find there a large and superb line of Spring and Summer materials to selctt from and courteous treatment—buy or no buy. He did as she commanded And when coming back thus “8RAND"-ed He was greeted with sweet laughter: She said—“Much to me you're worth Clotljed with THE BEST ON EARTH" And they lived happy ever after. Ore For the most Mr. and Mrs A. J. Cohn and child re turned to the city on Monday after being in California several months. Abe, after seeing much of California, thinks Tilla mook comity is a pretty good country and no better for dairying. While in Portland, Mr. Cohn interested himself In behalf of the railroad proposition, and in conjunction with Mr. Eddy spent some time in looking after the interests of this county. There was a congregational meeting of of the members of the Presbyterian church on Tuesday evening, when the annual reports of the different societies were read, all of whiih showed they were in a healthy and good financialcon- dition, after which the pastor, Rev. A. S. Foster, made a few appropriate remarks in regard to the work of the church in the future. The remainder of the even ing was spent in a social time, when the ladies served refreshments. During the last trip of the steamer Sue H. Elmore to Tillamook bay and while lying at Hobsonville one of the engineers threw a line over the side to catch some fish to bait a crab net with. Much to his surprise Jie hooked a fish that took the aid of all on board to get out of the water. It proved to be a halibut, weigh ing over 150 pounds and the second one that there is any record of having been caught in those waters. The fish was caught in about 10 feet of water.— Astoria Budget. i stylish tailor made suits,go to Sarchet’s, # i The Fashionable Tailor.
