CURAT THE No one regret the untimely and dis. tressing death of the late Sheriff Aider man more than the editor of the Head light, for we considered him one of our warm friends, we believed in his integ rity, and even though he had erred, it is not our intention to cast the first stone or go back on a friend because he has done some act of indiscretion, for heaven knows that he paid an awful penalty for it. Mr. Alderman is alone responsible for his own sudden downfall at a time when there was no reason for him to have erred. Everybody will admit that.
