TILLAMOOK HEADLIGHT. JUNE 11, COHN’S & CO.’S Big Stock of SUMMER GOODS have Arrived. t School Notes. Thirtr-five schools report for the month ending¡une 5, 1903. The total enrollment for the month was 572, or 149 more than last month. The average daily attend» ncc exceeded that of last month 138. The roll of honor has more than doubled that of last month. There were no cases of absence in Dists. No. 7, 17, 45 and 46. No tardi ness was reported from Dists. No. 5, 15, 17. 21, 23.30, 33, 34, 41, 44 and 46. The Oretown and Meda schools unit ed in a very pleasant Memorial program on May 30. The closing of the Fairview and Bay Citv schools was celebrated by a school picnic on the Fairview school grounds, at which were pupils from five schools. The forenoon was devoted to games and sports. After the noon lunch in the grove a very entertaining literary pro gram was rendered. The Grange Brass Band furnishing music for the occasion. At the close of the program, diplomas were presented to Eddie Fischbocker, Lutie Kuntz, Nina Norton and Anna Tinnerstet. During the month diplomas were issued to seventeen pupils of the Tillamook City school, four of the pupils of the Bay City school, and one to Jen nie Blanchard of Spruce. Dist, No. 1 will paint and repair the school house during vacation. The patrons of school Dist. No 10, the Latimer school, are to be congratulated upon their interest iti educational mat te.«, as evidenced by the fact that they are to have an addition to their school house. This will give them two rooms and afford much better school facilities.
