H. W. Corbett Dead.
Hon. Henry W. Corbett, one of the
best-knowu public men of the Northwest
and of the State of Oregon, with which
his name has been closly identified for a
lifetime, died Tuesday morning. Al­
though his health had not been the best

istic energy that has been his always, he
was active in looking after business until
within a few hours before his final indis­
position. Mr. Corbett’s death at this
time was entirely unexpected. The im­
mediate cause was heart failure. He
was conscious to the last, and expired
peacefully, before relatives outside of the

came at a quarter to 7 A. M.
