Jan. 11.—Representa tive Thomas II. Tongue, of the First Oregon Congressional District, in the presence of his daughter Bertha, and his secretary. Miss Ruane. died suddenly in his room at the Irvington, in this city, nt 12:50 this afternoon. A few minutes before he passed away he lapsed into unconsciousness, and died without a word, without any suffering.
