The deceased was a large man, being 6 feet 2 inches in height and weighing 214 pounds. A ver dict of accidental drowning was re turned. The deceased was a nephew’of Assessor J S. Stephens, of Tillamook County, a id was a son.of W. \V. Stephens, the Postmaster at Liberty. He was until recently a member of the livery firm of Page St Stephens, of Salem. He suffered business reverses several months ago, in no way involving his firm, and went to Southern Oregon.
