SPECIAL EDITION OF THE TILLAMOOK HEADLIGHT. ,/yien pou^ There is perhaps no spot where one can he so close to nature, and yet in touch with civilized world. You may, while camped amid the wildest and most pictures que scenery, enjoying a season of rare trout fishing, have your metropolitan news paper thrown at your feet from day to day. Perchance vou are neither a hunter nor a fisher? Well, their is still abundant reason why you should come to Tillamook in the summertime Her mountains and valleys, her rippling streams, her ocean beach, her cool summer climate, her green pastures, her sleek cattle, her contented and thrifty people, and the general air of peace, plenty and prosperity will do your city-fagged soul good. Man must now and then get back near old mother nature, if lie would renew his hold upon life. The greatest are not without this primitive yearning. Diocletian, emperor of Rome, resigned after a rule of twenty years and become a farmer, and when he was urged to resume the scepter he had laid down, he answered: “If you could see the cabbages I raise in my garden, you would not ask me to take a throne.” There arc those who would not exchange a summer in Tillamook for a Kingdom.
