Peter McIntosh has just returned from
Woodland, Wash., where he for five
years conducted a creamery and cheese
factory. The people there have been
urging him to return ever since he came
to this place, and he al hist yielded, and
took charge June 1st. He immediately
telegraphed for John Bogart, who was
his assistant here for two years, and the
Woodland factory will be operated for all

which is situated ¿opposite St. Helens,
just above Kalama, on the Columbia
river, is surrounded by rich bottom land,

he will have about the same quantity of
milk there each day as here, though the
flood will interfere greatly in this month,
he expects to put in some of his time at I
Woodland, and will leave Mr. Bogart
here at times. Mr. McIntosh says ev­
erybody outside are complaining greatly
of hard times, and that the people of
this vicinity cannot realize how well off
they are until they go and observe t lu­
