Tree Sale Columbia County Small Woodlands Association’s (CC- SWA) annual Tree Sale is mov- ing this year to a new location, at Lawrence Oil, 845 N. Colum- bia River Hwy., St. Helens. CCSWA’s 10th annual Tree Sale will be held at the new lo- cation on Saturday, March 8, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be 19 varieties of trees available and, depending upon type, can be purchased in quantities of one to 120. “Elite” Douglas fir and Western Red Cedar will have a two bag max- imum limit. Individuals wishing to purchase quantities larger than 200 may want to consider becoming a member of CC- SWA as they will be able to pur- chase their seedling needs in an earlier members’ sale each year, at a discounted price. Memberships can be pur- chased at the sale. The sale will include Chi- nese Dogwoods, Bald Cypress, Pacific Madrone, Coastal Red- wood, Sourwood, Magnolia Siebold, Giant Sequoia, In- cense Cedar, Red Japanese Maple, Noble Fir, Red Alder, Purple Smoke Tree, Ponderosa Pine, Snake Bark Maple, Sweet Gum, Western Red Cedar, American Yellowwood, Elite Douglas Fir, and Eucalyp- tus. Most seedlings are bare- root. In addition, protective net- ting and stakes will be avail- able. All sales are on a first- come firstserve basis, so come early for best selection.
