He weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches long. He joined his brother and sister, Hayden and Paige, at the family home. Jacob Daniel Currey Jacob Daniel Currey was born August 18, 2007, to Bren- dan and Heather Currey of Buxton. He weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. A helicopter in Town explained Did you see or hear the hel- icopter land on Cherry St., Ver- nonia, on October 6? Did you wonder what was going on? The helicopter brought Marc Farmer to a very carefully planned 50th birthday party. The family had orchestrated a M*A*S*H party, complete with tents and Army dog tags. His birthday present was a Juke box. Jacob Daniel Currey He joined his sister, Brenna Ray Currey, at the family home. Grandparents are Dan and Robin Murphy of Vernonia, and Linda Gregory of Medford. Great-grandparents are Pa- tricia Ray Wilhelm of Longview, Washington, Dolores Murphy of Hillsboro, and Roland and Mina Glass of Central Point. Have Horse Trailer – Will Travel “Have Horse Trailer – Will Travel” is the motto of Leroy and Reda Cowart of Slash Lazy U Ministries. They will be singing Southern Gospel music and speaking at an event to bring gospel to the working cowboy. The event will be at Ander- son Park, on October 28, at Community Church Harvest Party The Vernonia Community Church will be hosting a Com- munity Harvest Party on Sun- day, October 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be carnival-style games, and prizes awarded for best costume (church appropri- ate only please). There will also be prizes awarded for the best carved pumpkins brought to the party. Cookies and hot cider will also be provided. Alterations by Linda 11:00 a.m. and will include a free spaghetti feed.
