Just the finest in collision repair Expect delays on Cornelius Pass Road construction will limit traffic to one lane in each direc- tion on Cornelius Pass Road between Jacobson Road and Rock Creek Boulevard, from August 24 through 28. According to Washington County’s Department of Land Use and Transportation the re- striction is planned for the time when the county’s contractor, Baker Rock, will be grinding and reconstructing the road. The county and Baker Rock are working together to ensure that traffic moves as smoothly as possible through this neces- sary, though inconvenient, road work. About 10,000 vehicles a day travel south on Cornelius Pass Road at this location, ac- cording to 2006 traffic counts. Christy Greagor appeared on behalf of the Greenville Park Management Committee, re- porting that the movie night in the park was a success. Atten- dance was over 100 and they made about $230. The next movie in the park night is scheduled for Saturday, August 25 at 9:00 p.m. Dayspring Christian Fellow- ship advanced a maintenance agreement to the city for the paving on parking lots. Mayor Branstitre said that the budget has room in the general fund for the work. Edison moved to approve the city’s share of $2,049.33. The motion carried by a 4-1 vote, with Councilor Craig Stewart in opposition. Stewart is concerned with Super Quiet Portable Power depth of concrete (1.5") and that the bid from A-1 Paving and Patching does not include a seal coat. Mayor Branstitre will have the city engineer make recommendations to be included with the approval of Dayspring’s proposal.
