Thanks also go out to Cedar
Ridge and Creatures for use of
their freezer storage as well.
The Turkey Drive begins when
turkeys go on sale at Thanks-
giving, so it is critical to store
them frozen until Christmas.
THANK YOU everyone!
This has been the fourth an-
nual Turkey Drive and has
been a tremendous success!
THANK YOU ALL AND TO ALL
A MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Truck Parade winners
get sweet rewards
To the Editor:
I wish to thank all again, for
your participation in our Lighted
Big Rig Parade. It was great! I
want to thank my judges; Mary
Tolenon from True Value, Re-
becca McGaugh from The In-
dependent , Cindy Ball and
Alexis Posey, both friends of
mine, who came out into the
cold to pick our winners. I was
glad it was their job and not
mine, they all looked great.
Our grand prize winner was
Weller & Sons with Matt Poet-
ter driving. The company got a
plaque with their name and
year on it, to display for the
year. The driver’s prize was an
apple pie. Whimsical was won
by Robb Wilson who got an ap-
ple pie; Most Original – Ray
Pelster who also got an apple
pie; Judge’s Favorite – Jazzer-
cise, who can work off their ap-
ple pie all next week.
The Parade doubled in size
from last year and I can see
more growth again next year.
Write this down as another fun
time in Vernonia, the town
where family is our number one
commodity.
See you next year and Mer-
ry Christmas to all with a won-
derful 2007 to come.
Ho Ho Ho,
