Adventure and fun was had by all. Well, most of us. THANK YOU to everyone; donors, volunteers, and partici- pants, who helped make our first Hunter’s Dinner on Sep- tember 22 a huge success. Norman and Louise Ham- nett, of Vernonia, recently cele- brated their 65th anniversary at a party held in their honor at the home of Stacey (MacKerrow) and Jired Bowyer of Vancou- ver, Washington. Stacey Bowyer is one of the Hamnetts’ three granddaughters. The party, held September 9, was given by their children, Raymond Hamnett of Aloha, and Nancy MacKerrow of Sam- mamish, Washington. The Hamnetts’ also have six great- grandchildren. Also attending the party was Louise Hamnett’s sister, Nora Lou Martin Janik, who served as Matron of Honor at the orig- inal wedding August 30, 1941, at Hinson Memorial Church in Portland. Other guests includ- ed several nieces and nephews as well as extended family members Ida Bruce, Janet and Jim Hult, Tommy and Sue Bruce, plus Dorothy MacKer- row from Shelton, Washington.
