Plant & Garden Rainier Saturday Sale, June 7-10 Market now open June 7-10 are the dates of the Vernonia Senior Center Plant & Garden Sale. The sale will start at 9:00 a.m. each day. Gardening tools and sup- plies, bird houses, bootjacks, bee condos, ceramic pots, plants and shrubs, trees and flowers are just some of the items that will be for sale. Those with green thumbs and those without are encour- aged to come to the sale. The Rainier Saturday Mar- ket opened for its second sea- son on May 13. The family fun will continue through Septem- ber 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Rainier’s Riverfront Park, just off Hwy 30. Shoppers can indulge in fresh produce, flowers, garden art, arts and crafts, handmade soaps and candles, plus fresh baked breads, cakes and goodies, while also enjoying live music on the waterfront. I ’ m not sure – I’ve never read “Bi- c y c l e Rules of t h e Road,” but I’m sure it is- n’t Okay to be cutting across two lanes of traffic in the middle of a block of a downtown thor- oughfare just so you can catch up with a friend going the other way. Huh?? The weather has kept me from scouting out anything to bring to your attention so this may be almost short and sweet.
