Welcome to the Vernonia Friendship Jamboree August 5-7, 2005 The weekend of July 23-24, Charlie and Deborah Steffen of Cedar Mist Llamas took three llamas to A Llama Affaire in Bat- tleground, Washington, at the Clark County Fairgrounds. New to the llama show world, they surprised the reigning champi- ons by winning many ribbons. First they showed their two two-year old females. One named Shaw-Na won a second and third place ribbon and Julia won a fourth place ribbon. In the male yearling division Mikhail took, to the surprise of many, a first and third place rib- bon. Both Shaw-Na and Mickey were qualified to go for Grand Champion honors since they placed first and second. The Steffens were surprised and overjoyed when Mickey won Grand Champion. Mickey and Shaw-Na will be in the Jamboree parade, marching with Don and Nancy Dailey’s llamas from New Moon Llamas.
